When The Reds Come

CHAPTER 2

Moscow April 18, 1975

A Mil Mi-8 helicopter was hovering above the Mokow Kremlin. Onboard the aircraft was Aleksei, who has brought the carcass of the beast with him. The chopper slowly landed at the helipad. Near the helipad was a man surrounded by men wearing black suits and a man wearing an official uniform of the army.

The man was somewhere in his fifties. He had black hair with some white hair mixed. He also stood six feet flat. He wore the typical business suit. It might be usual. But the business suit is crafted by a famous designer.

The man in question was the current president of the USSR, Viktor Semenov, age fifty-eight. As the helicopter lands down, its side door opened, where Aleksei came out and greeted President Viktor with a salute.

After replying with a salute, Viktor then proceeded to ask questions to Aleksei. “So what is this strange creature that you are talking about that made you stop our operation.”

Aleksei replied, “you should see it for yourself.” Aleksei then points his hand at the helicopter.

The president then raised his eyebrow, seemingly questioning Aleksei's sanity. However, Aleksei replied once again, “before you judge me, sir, why don't you see it for yourself.”

President Viktor did not reply to Aleksei. He just proceeded to enter the helicopter along with his bodyguards. As Viktor step foot in the aircraft, he was meet by a heavy stench of gunpowder, iron, and blood. The smell caused him to grabbed his handkerchief in his pocket and covered his nose.

Viktor then looked at the helicopter's rearmost area, and there he saw a bloody carcass of a giant lizard lying on the floor. His eyes were stilled filled with disbelief as he saw the beast.

“What the hell is this beast? A dinosaur?”

Even his bodyguards started to gossip as they set their sights on the dead creature. Viktor immediately got off the helicopter and spoke to Aleksei.

“What the hell is that thing?”

“We do not know, Mr. President. However, we believe it to be a dragon.”

“A dragon!” exclaimed Viktor as he gazes at the helicopter. “How in the world would a mythical creature exist?”

Aleksei answered Viktor, “sir, you may not believe it, but I think we may have dug a portal to another world.”

Viktor then massages his right temple after hearing Aleksei. He then spoke, “let's take this talk to my office, Aleksei. Also, tell the pilot of this chopper to send this beast to the laboratory.” Viktor then looked to one of his bodyguards, “make sure that the media and the American and NATO spies lurking cannot know about this. While we still don't know what we should do.”

The bodyguard immediately left after being asked. After that, Aleksei and Viktor, with the man wearing the military officer uniform, went to the president's office. At the same time, the bodyguards guarded the entrance of the office.

“What should we do about this, sir Viktor.” Asked the man wearing the military officer uniform.

“General, we should not allow the media to know about this. We should turn their attention to other things.” Replied Viktor to the man wearing the military officer uniform.

The man then towards Aleksei, “what the hell did you do after that thing went on a rampage.”

Aleksei replied, “General Leonid, I immediately contained the area and asked for backup from the nearest military base. I don't want to risk killing more of my men when I had already lost six.”

“Is that the only thing you did?”

“Now, I know why you were able to be promoted this high, General Leonid.”

Viktor, who was witnessing this, immediately spoke. “why don't the two of you take your seats. Instead of yapping while standing up.”

The two immediately grabbed the two wooden chairs. After taking their seat, the two continued, while Viktor poured himself some tea.

“So what is the other thing you do, Aleksei.”

“I sent some of my men to scout the hole. I was quite skeptical about that. However, I saw this as something unnatural and would be ‘helpful for the motherland.’”

“You did what!?”

“I see you already sent a team to gather some information. Have any of them been injured, or did they have returned alive?” Asked Viktor as he drank his tea.

“All of the men I sent were safe, sir, and you will be happy to know what they have found. What they found would make a giant leap forward, leaving the Americans and their allies behind.”

Viktor suddenly put his tea down and showed his interest. “I see, but what would be this thing.”

“Haven't I told you before, sir, that we may have found a portal to another world?”

“Enlighten me, ” replied Viktor to Aleksei.

“The resources in that land, sir. The scouts weren't able to see any form of human civilization within a ten-kilometer radius. It also seems our vehicles can be transported. I would say even an aircraft can be transported if we increase the size of the hole. As the size of the entrance is the factor that affects the size of the gate to that world.”

“Interesting, so that means we could be the first settlers of that land. And we can claim that world as our own.”

“But, if you are planning on colonizing that world, mister President. I would suggest bringing an army as the scouts also observed some dangerous animals. There were even animals that they have never seen before, so sending a team of biologists to study the wildlife.”

“Hearing what you have said, we must keep this a secret from our enemies, especially from the Democratic Republic. Those greedy pigs would not be able to stand idly if they knew the existence of this supernatural occurrence.”

Leonid then spoke, “Sir, are you planning on sending people to that place.”

“I see that as a win for us, General Leonid, as the resources of that place have not been touched. With those resources, we could push our advantage in technology even more, without worrying too much about our natural resources.”

“I do see your point, mister President. But who are you planning to put in charge of this colonization?”

Viktor turns his gaze towards Aleksei, “we already have someone.”

Aleksei immediately stood up after seeing Viktor's gaze at him. “I'm very honored to accept this important mission for the motherland.”

“Good, then we wouldn't have to worry about relying on those dirty capitalists when we are trading for essential resources. This could push the Union towards greatness that will stomp the greedy Democratic Republic and their allies.”

After that meeting, Aleksei immediately left the Kremlin riding the same helicopter. However, before they left the capital, the chopper brought the beast's carcass to a laboratory in Moscow.

Aleksei was now appointed as the commander of the Всемирная Экспедиционная Группа (World Expeditionary Group.) He was given the order to mobilize his sixty-thousand strong men, composing three divisions. They will depart one week after they have organized.

Meanwhile…

A woman wearing a pink dress is sitting in the center of a flower field. She had a crown composed of gold, and it also had emeralds and pink sapphire embedded unto her crown. Another woman wearing a Victorian like maid outfit was next to her. The woman had beautiful long curly golden blond hair that reaches her waist. Her skin was fair, smooth. Overall she was a glooming beauty. Her eyes match the emerald found on her crown, as they had the same sparkly color, her chest, I mean future was also abundant, as her dress was trying to tame it, it was bountiful that it even extends c three to four inches. Any man who would gaze upon this beauty would immediately fell to her, even though a man's lust only invoked it.

“Princess, we must return to the mansion. As Lord, Gansler's son, Prince, would be meeting you tonight.” The maid spoke as the princess enjoyed the smell of flowers.

“Can't he visit another day? I still don't want to entertain anyone who is just asking for my hand.”

“But princess Reyna, this is the fifth time you had denied a suitor. And your father is starting to get worried.”

“I guess those greedy lords would complain to my father. I wish that I would have to leave this cursed country. And move to a place you aren't forced to arrange marriage. Also, those lords want their sons to become close to my father. Another one, I don't want my suitor to be a pig like that Lord Gansler's son.”

The maid gasped after hearing her, “Princess Reyna, please language. You cannot insult people like that as a princess.”

Reyna looked at her maid, “I guess I did go a little too far. Let's go back to the mansion Charlotte. I'll entertain this one guest but tell father that I don't want another suitor in the following two weeks.”

The maid did a curtsy while replying, “as you wish you, princess.”

The two then got on board a carriage that horses were pulling. A coachman was outside the carriage and opened the door for the princess and the maid. After that, the coachman closed the door gently and moved the carriage. The horizon was a castle that can be seen sitting on the top of a mountain, blocking the light that the sunset gives.
