I was sound asleep in Cody's embrace when the agonizing scream of our Luna pierced through the quiet of our pack, jolting everyone awake. We scrambled out of bed and rushed towards the woods where Sunflower Grove was located. It could only mean one thing, and I dreaded to see her condition.
The entire pack had already gathered in the woods, surrounding our Alpha who held our Luna tightly as she wept. The rain had stopped, revealing a sky that was slowly clearing up. But the once beautiful Sunflower Grove was now destroyed. Each member of the pack kneeled next to their Luna, joining their voices in anguished howls.
