A loud, heavy sound echoed in the corner of the hospital room.
Sophia, huddled under the bed, screamed in terror.
Chairs shattered into pieces, wooden fragments flying in all directions. Some pieces scratched Sophia's legs, and blood trickled slowly down her skin.
Emily didn't care anymore. She approached Sophia's hiding place step by step.
"Come out," she said.
Sophia, barely able to speak from fear, stammered, "You're crazy! Emily, you're really crazy!"
"Yes, I'm crazy. I should be." Emily replied, already gripping a long rod.
Sophia paled. "What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to make you pay for what you did today," Emily said, gesturing with the metal rod above her head.
"Help!!!" Sophia pushed Emily away and ran for the door.
With a bang, the ward door was kicked open.
