When they arrived at the Hilton hotel, Emily went upstairs first while Allen Parker parked the car.
Just as Emily entered the hotel lobby, Allen Parker's phone rang.
"Keep your brother away from Emily," the voice on the other end demanded.
Allen Parker sighed helplessly. "Jackson is an adult now, and how can I control his feelings? I grew up with Jackson, and I've never seen him so invested in any woman before. He seems genuinely smitten. I don't want to see him getting deeper into this. You'd better tell Emily the truth soon, and let Jackson put an end to it."
"It's almost done," Satan said. "I'm speeding things up."
"Good," Allen Parker glanced at the hotel lobby, where Emily's figure was no longer visible. "She's already in the elevator. You should head back now."
