Chapter Six
Waking from a long, deep and restful sleep, Olivia was astonished to find that her hood had been removed while she slept and her wrists were no longer confined behind her back.
True, she still wore steel cuffs on each wrist and ankle and her collar remained locked about her throat, but her fetters were no longer linked by steel chains. For the very first time in almost two months, she was able to move freely, to bend and stretch without the artificial constraints placed on her by the bondage to which she was so accustomed. Her limbs felt strangely light, as if they could float up into the air of their own accord and Olivia frowned, not at all certain that she liked the unexpected freedom.
