Merk and Kyle hiked quickly through the forest of Ur as they had been for days, Merk wondering about this boy beside him. They had journeyed together in silence for days, and he realized he knew next to nothing about Kyle. He knew he had Kyle to thank for being alive, and it was a strange feeling; Merk had always looked out for himself and had never felt beholden to anyone.
