Katlin...
I found myself waiting for mystery man longer then I had anticipated too. Our late night conversation was interesting, causing me to think there was a spark somehow.
I'll be sincere with you all, he isn't the type of guy I would date nor even look at, but it was time to change that perspective my mother had rubbed onto me.
I felt that I was desperate to find someone who isn't from the same class as I was just so I could taunt mother. That might sound harsh, and you might say I'm a b***h but...
Blame it on my mother who threw Andrew, my ex boyfriend of three years before me. He was never my choice. I just thought my mother meant well, that she wanted a nobleman for her daughter. But boy was I fooled. It was just a partnership deal my mother wanted to bond with Andrews father.
Mother and I live a very rich lifestyle before I ever even meet Andrew. Thank to my late father who made sure I was secured for the rest of my life. Mother does have a gambling problem but my sweet father knew better than to give mother full Authorisation of my Inheritance. She couldn't touch any of the money nor could I until I reached the age of eighteen but father left more than enough for mother and I to live by.
Fast forward before my twenty's birthday, mother blurted out that she was in debt to Andrew's father and the only way to make sure we survive is to Conjoin both my companies and theirs together. So I just agreed which now I regret so dearly.
I won't sell my share nor will Andrew give up, now I'm stuck in a legal battle over my own business.
And a round of applause for mother who placed her goals, desires and needs before anyone's else's.
I thought I was happy, that I had it all, but I didn't.
I felt like a shadow in a crowded place that no one noticed or cared for.
'Give her money, clothes, diamonds and pearls. That's what every woman needs.' mothers words rang in my mind.
And that he did, Andrew spoiled me with everything you can imagine, but still, I felt nothing. So why did it hurt when I found out he was cheating on me with a close friend?
Was I in love with him or had I gotten used to his company?
Inhaling out a deep sigh, I watched my surrounding.
Cars moving as people pass by while I sat in one of the tables that were placed outside of a small cafe shop. Indulging in an hot espresso.
Spring was in session, giving everyone a break from the harsh winter days New York had to offer that never seemed to end. Although the wind carried an autumn vibe, the trees and flowers blooming made it clear that spring was blossoming slowly.
"I wish you could erase all your past mistakes," I whispered out to myself with a loud sigh.
"Then how will you learn if there wasn't any mistakes to begin with?" A deep voice said as the smell of hard tobacco hits my senses, causing me to crunch my nose upward.
The chair before me makes a screeching sound against the black and white tile.
"You're still here?" he said as he took a seat.
I felt lost for words as I took in his appearance.
Was I this desperate?
"You reek of cigarettes," I said in disgust.
Sniffing himself, he shrugs then smirks. "You're pretty," he admitted carelessly.
"If you shower and maybe put on some clean clothes you won't look so bad yourself."
The smirk never left his plump lips, I took in his appearance into more detail. The rolled up black dress shirt up his forearm, the chain the hung around his neck, the black slacks and a baseball hat?Rough looking but dressed in a way.
"You speak your mind, nice. Bitchy attitude but hot." He uttered.
I felt this was a bad idea.
"May you please take off your hat so I can get a better look at your face?" I asked.
"So, why a fine ass woman like you single?" he questioned as he turned around his cap backwards. It ruined the whole look which caused my skin to itch.
"Are you blad under there?"
He reached for his cap and took it off which caused his jet black hair to fall against his forehead.
He's handsome.....very handsome.
"Better?" he hummed.
Scanning his features brought a chilling shiver to run up my spine.
His grey eyes never stopped staring into mine.
"You're cute, why are you single?" I question.
The tip of his tongue rolled over his lower lip, before blessing my eyes with a lopsided grin that sent a storm of butterflies erupting in the lowest part of my stomach.
"I'm a busy man, work gets in the way of my love life so that's why I'm single. Now your turn." He replied quickly.
"Well Aiden, I was in a relationship but it didn't work out."
"So this is a fresh start or am I going to be the rebound guy?"
"I don't know yet, depend on you really."
"Katlin right? Can I call you Kitty?" he asked as he took a hold of the cup of expresso that was before me.
I watched him take a sip of my espresso in utter shock. "No, you can not call me kitty. I don't crawl on four legs nor purr so-''
"I'll make you purr'' he seductively said with a wicked smirk.
I lean over closer, "I'll be the judge of that."
His eyes widen before leaning back. Chuckling, I lean back as well while eyeing him even more.
He looked simple, rusty, unclassified for mothers taste. Was I planning on dating him to piss mother off? Yes!
But on the other hand I wouldn't mind having those eyes staring at me.
"Whats the pretty mind of yours thinking about?" he questions curiously.
"How you'd look between my legs."
He froze in shock, holding the espresso cup midway in the air.
A giggle escaped my lips. "I'm jok-"
"Wanna find out?"
Swallowing the lump in throat, not knowing what to say. Or why I said such an outspoken phrase.
Maybe I was horny? The fact he's handsome had to do something with it?
"Sorry, I didn't mean-"
"Don't be sorry, just speak your mind. It seems interesting." he smiled, placing the empty cup on the table.
"So...." I look around the cafe shop to avoid his gaze. "What do you do for a living?"
"I own a Marketing business, sorry I was late. Had to finish work before heading out." his answer was short and simple.
"Okay, tell me about yourself?" I asked.
I was under a spell that he had cast with one look. His mouth was moving but I wasn't listening. I drowned in a mysterious place that had my wildest thoughts running haywire.
I seriously need to get laid. By him. Period.
He looks like fun, I wonder how big his.....
"Hello," he waved his hand before my face, causing me to pull back.
"Sorry, I'm not myself today."
My mind is in the gutter and I need to be f****d.
He just leaned back and stared at me.
"How long has it been?"
I frowned at his question, not knowing exactly what he meant by it.
"Um...how long has what been?"
"Since you gotten out of that relationship?"
"Oh, um... it been almost a year."
"Wow, that's a long time without a d**k in your..." he stopped as soon as he saw the look of horror on my face. "I'm sorry, I speak my mind and really don't care and I thought that was the same for you but I'm getting mixed signals."
He placed both arms on the table, lowering his head down before looking up at my heated, embarrassed face.
"If this," he pointed to him and I. "Ever works out, you'll tell me about your Ex and why he left a goddess like you?"
A blush crept upon my cheeks, he thinks I'm a goddess. This is definitely the horny b***h in me gushing.
"And you'll tell me why you're still single?" my eyes lifted to look at his.
In a flash, something stormed in those grey eyes of his but as soon as it came as soon as it went away.
"You never know, I might tell you everything," he whispered with a soft smile.
Pulling back up, he sat back into his chair and waved for the waiter to come by. "I'll have Rocket mocha
espresso, and for the beautiful lady, she'll have an affogato espresso."
"Would that be all Mr. Venera?"
Aiden nodded his head before the waiter took off.
"Mr. Venera?"
"I come here often."
"So Mr. Venera, where will you be taking me after our expresso round?"
"I was thinking back to my place where I can..." he paused causing me to wish he hadn't. "but you're not ready, so maybe walk around till noon. Have lunch, maybe dinner. And who knows where the night can lead us too."
Hoping it will lead to you being shirtless. Maybe he can be the one to call for my d**k appointment?
"Sounds like you have the day planned." a nervous giggle escaped my lips as the waiter placed our order down on the table.
"You can say that, excuse me for a moment. I need to make a call."
He stood up and walked into the cafe.
Maybe this can work.
Hopefully.
.......
Adien...
With the phone in my hand, I headed off to the restroom where I knew no one would listen to my phone call.
This isn't right, she's isn't the one.
"Adien? Is she there?"
"What do you want me to do exactly with her?" I question as I stare myself in the mirror.
"Seduce her until she can't resist, I need her to sign these contracts before the year end or I'll lose everything."
"She seems innocent, why not have one of your men do the job."
"I need an outsider and you are the man for this job, Adien. Your the man to call upon to get things done, also, she doesn't know you and lastly it's your job. I'm paying you so don't worry."
I was contemplating on doing the job or leaving at once.
"The money is already in your account, get the job done and you'll be on your way. I just want a signature that's all."
"Very well Andrew," I said before ending the call.
Staring at the reflection in the glass mirror once more, I remembered who I was. What I do for a living.
"Don't pity anyone, you kill, cheat and steal. Your job is to get princess head over heels in love with you. Yank the multimillion-dollar Empire from beneath her feet then... leave."
This won't be hard, it will be a piece of cake.
I think.
