I can not believe he made that much of a scene just because I would not accept his invite as his date.

Hailey, I said are you listening to me. she said sorry I was just daydreaming about Blake he's so handsome with his dreamy green eyes and light brown hair.

I can only hope he's my mate we would have such cute babies.

Ugh is that all you think about do you not want your own identity. Do you not want to be something other than the beta's mate? she uses to want to be a nurse she was going to be my nurse when I open my practice.

But since she will be 18 in two weeks all she thinks about now is who will be her mate. It's now lunchtime and I check my phone, I have a message from my father the beta he says when I get home, I need to come to see him and the Alpha.

I replied yes father, I will come to see you after school before I head to help mom in the hospital. I put my phone away and I sigh to myself and Hailey ask me what was wrong.

I have a feeling that Ryder said something to his dad and his dad who is Alpha said something to Alpha Riker and now I have to go see him and my dad.

We ate our lunch which is cheese pizza, a chocolate shake, and a large chocolate chip cookie, this is one of my go-to lunches. lunch is over and we are heading to our next class.

As I was walking all of a sudden I feel lighting go up to my arm. I turn to see Ryder looking at me with sad eyes.

I said what do you want Ryder, I have to get to class he said I just want to apologize for my outburst earlier. With being an Alpha I can not control my anger sometimes.

As I look into his eyes I can not help but melt a little. Oh s**t why am I acting like this, this is not me. Ugh, I wonder if it's because he is an Alpha. I tell him that it's okay I understand and I walk away.

We are in our last class for the day. Ryder is usually in this class too and I start to wonder where he went and what, he is doing. The bell rings and we are done for the day.

I head home and go straight to the Alphas office as I approach I hear Alpha Riker and Alpha Ryder and my dad all talking I also hear Ryder's Dad Alpha Cole they must have felt my presents there and said come in Kinsley.

So I let out a deep breath, I was holding and opening the door, and walked in. Once inside I was greeted by all and asked to sit on the couch next to Ryder.

I looked on the ground as we are not supposed to look the Alphas in the eye out of respect.

I took my seat next to Ryder I saw a small smile creep on his face and I knew what was coming next.

Alpha Riker cleared his throat and said, Kinsley, I heard Alpha Ryder asked you to be his date and you refused him is that correct.

Yes, Alpha you see I don't go to parties and I have other plans to help my mother with the sick at the hospital that night.

He said oh I see well we have talked to your mother and she said you are not needed that night and you are free to go.

I cursed under my breath as I'm going to have to speak with my mother about this. So now you have nothing to do and you can go be Alpha Ryder date and it is settled.

I do believe Ryder asked you to get a sliver gown for the evening you and Hailey should go to the mall now and get a nice gown to wear and with that my dad handed me his credit card and the Alpha dismissed me.

So I have no choice now but to call Hailey and ask her to go to the mall this is the last thing I want.

Ugh, Hailey and I decide to make a day of shopping. We got our nails done, we both found our dresses and shoes, and just finished eating burritos from chipotle it is my favorite.

now it's time to head home and get ready for another day of school.

We get home, Hailey goes to her house, I drop my stuff off at my house and head to see my mom. As I reach the pack hospital.

I hear some giggling. When I turn the corner my mom and some of the nurses are giggling.

They stop once they see me, my mom said hi sweetheart I thought you were at the mall.

I said I was but now we are done. She said sorry, I was telling the girls about your date on Friday. And what happens today.

I said I don't want to talk about it. You know I don't want to go, I would rather work with you and help the sick and wounded.

She said I know sweetheart but I think this will do you good. What if he ends up being your mate.

Oh great you know, I don't want a mate right now. I want my career, I want to help and cure people. I don't want to give it all up right now.

My mom then said come on I can use some help. We walked to a male patient's room. He was stabbed with a silver knife, my mom asked me what I would do to cure him.

I told her, I would take his blood and I would mix it with different potions. I would make and hope one of them would cure his blood. She asked me to get going then.

I made three different potions it is well past three in the morning.

I bring them to my mom to look at under the slides. They took the silver out of the blood. She just needs to decide which one to use.
