Finding her way

Chapter 3

Caroline's dad Husk 

I looked over at my daughter, I knew I was doing the right thing, I had to take care of business and then I'll go get her, we will run until we find a pack that will take us in,.I had to plea to the alpha to take my daughter at least I know she will be safe from all of this, I got out of the car so did Caroline, I walked over and hugged her, "Caroline it's just for a little while I promise, he let go of her and room out her bags from the car, he walked back over to her. "I'm sorry Caroline, soon you will understand.'' he hugged her once more. "Daddy, unless you plan on challenging Alpha Jack, you won't be able to do anything. Just leave, father and don't look back." he grabbed his daughter holding her tightly and hugged her. "I love you Caroline, I'll be there soon I promise." he got back into the car and left. Caroline sat on one of her suitcases, hoping clothes were inside. She soon heard crickets and frogs. It was getting late and she hoped whoever was coming would be here soon, the woods could get scary, but about thirty minutes later she heard a car driving up. She sighed as she looked at the huge black SUV the windows were blacked out, the driver side door opened and a huge tall man that looked like he just stepped out of a magazine got out of the car, he took a look at her shaking his head, 

"Are you just going to sit there or are you going to get up and help me put your bags in the car?" She got up picking up two of her suitcases throwing them in the car, she had fourteen suitcases and the back held all of them, he opened the back passenger seat door she got in sitting down, she took a look around, there was a dvd in the back with a remote control, even a window you could roll up so the driver doesn't have to talk to you, there was so much in here, she set back as the car started up and drove off, she looked outside as they drove down the road. "My name is River Black, you know if you're going to sulk at least try not to be on the whole drive there. There are no pity parties here, now it's going to take a few hours to get to the packhouse so get some rest," .."no I'm ok really, I rather just enjoy the ride and face my doom when we get there," she heard him chuckle, "it's not that bad like people say, he is a strict Alpha and he likes things a certain way, so he stands by it, but he is ruthless, if anyone tries to hurt anyone in his pack he will kill them, so listen no more pity parties, no more doom and gloom alright," Caroline nodded as she set back to enjoy the ride, 

The next thing she knew she was being woken by someone shaking her gently, her eyes fluttered open as she looked up, it was River waking her up, "we are here. The Alpha wants to see you before you get settled into your room. I'll get a few people to get your bags for you, she nodded as he took her to the alpha's office 

Alpha Mason pov

It has been a few hours since my Beta, River, had left to go pick this girl up. I called Alpha Jack, to see if they had left yet, "he told me he didn't know that her father drove her out of the pack territory she rejected her pack and her Alpha, so I could give a rats ass if she is alive or dead," I growled into the phone threatening him if he ever said that again he would go to his pack and rip his head off, I slammed down the phone as I started to smell this intoxicating scent. Vanilla and limes, he wondered where it was coming from until Beta River opened the door letting him know that they were here. He let Caroline inside the office, Alpha Mason told river to leave he will tend to Caroline, he nodded as he walked out to help with the bags, Alpha Mason kept looking at Caroline as she looked around the room, he caught her attention when he stepped toward her, she kept backing up as he kept coming toward her, when her back hit the cold wall she was trapped between the wall in him. He came forward moving her hair away so he could lean Into her, he leaned into her neck to inhale her scent. Then his canines came out, he sunk them into the sweet spot on her neck, marking her, when he was done, he stepped one step back, her fingers touched the stop where he marked her,  *You marked me," be smirked and said "yes," again she said "you marked me…" he chuckled and said, "yes, yes I did." "But why when you could pick any she-wolf here?"..."because none of these wolves are my mate, you are," this stunned her, "I'm your mate?" He nodded "yes, yes you are,"
