GA's Student Council

Kazuna, a week after his first training session, walks into class and is greeted by an excited Emiko.  “Hiya Kazuna,” Emiko says with a childish smile. She was a relatively tall girl with bright green eyes and crazy pink hair with a muscular body for a girl. “Hey, Emiko.” Kazuna responds with a wave. He sits at his desk. Shiba approaches him. Shiba had well kept long blonde hair. He was average height and had a body type similar to Kazuna but was a bit slimmer.   “Hey Kazuna, I was wondering if you had any tips for increasing your speed?” He asks.  “Hmm… How exactly does your power work and what does it feel like when you activate it? Oh, sorry if I’m being a bit overbearing, it’s just that knowing these things will make it easier for me to give sound advice.” Kazuna says.  “No, it’s ok. Well, let’s see. Basically, I’m able to increase the speed at which my body can move. And I’d say it felt like all my body’s functions were being sped up.” Shiba responds.  Kazuna puts his hand to his chin. “I see… Well then, maybe try increasing that feeling without overworking your body. You should push your speed to the point where it begins to become slightly painful and remain at that speed. After training that way for a while, your body will become accustomed to that level of speed and it should stop being painful. That’s what I do when I want to move faster with my lightning. It will also help if you strengthen your body since your power directly affects it.” Kazuna says.  “Oh, I get it. I thought I was doing something wrong since my body was hurting after a certain point, but It makes sense that my body just needs to get used to faster speeds.” Shiba responds excitedly. “Thanks, Kazuna.” Shiba heads to his desk. Kagura approaches Kazuna. “Good morning Kazuna.” Kagura says with a smile.  “Morning.” Kazuna replies.  She takes her seat next to Kazuna. “How have you been enjoying GA?” She asks.  “It’s been really fun. Although it’s hard to get used to everyone asking me for advice.” Kazuna replies while rubbing the back of his head. His classmates had started to come to him for advice Ms. Saugoma may not be able to give because her power is so different from some of theirs like Shiba’s.  Kagura laughs. “Well, what do you expect. You have a great understanding of how your powers work and how to use them effectively. Not to mention that you have outstanding grades. Also, people seem to feel comfortable around you.” Kagura states.  “If you say so.” Kazuna replies.  Ms. Saugoma enters the room. “Everyone take your seats.” She says. Everyone quickly heads towards their desks.  “All right class as you all know the annual Coalition festival will be taking place shortly.” The class fills with excitement.  “Coalition festival?” Kazuna mumbles to himself. “This will be a good opportunity for you guys to show off your powers to agencies. Make sure you train properly and don’t waste this important opportunity. Also, aim to bring Gale storm Academy the victory. We came second last year so be extra motivated to win this year.” Ms. Saugoma finishes.  “Well, this year we’ve got Kazuna so first place is guaranteed,” Matt states confidently.  “Yeah!” The class answers in agreement.  “Don’t be too sure of that.” Ms. Saugoma answers.  “Yeah. That student from Winter Academy is going to be real trouble.” Akeno agrees.  “So don’t slack off. You all should aim to beat Kazuna, not rely on him. So train hard everyone.” Ms. Saugoma exclaims.  “Yeah!” The class responds.  “Oh yeah, Kazuna. The student council president wanted to speak with you so you can head to their room after lunch now.” Ms. Saugoma adds.  “They want me?” Kazuna asks.  Ms. Saugoma just shrugs her shoulders. “Apparently, umm, Kagura can you take him there after lunch, I doubt he knows where to go.” She asks.  “Yes, ma’am.” Kagura answers.  Kazuna takes his lunch and joins Matt, Kagura, Shiba, Emiko, and Akeno at their table. These five have shown the most interest in him. Akeno finds him intriguing, Emiko thinks he's cool, and Shiba sees him as someone who is dependable. He joins them mid-conversation.  “Still, that guy from Winter Academy doesn’t stand a chance against Kazuna.” Emiko proclaims.  “So who is this guy?” Kazuna asks while taking his seat.  “You don’t know about him?” Matt asks surprised.  “No. Should I?” Kazuna replies clearly uninterested.  “Yeah, you should. He was the winner among the first years last year at the competition. He breezed past everyone in the tournament with his stupidly strong power. It basically made him some kind of superman.” Matt replies.  “Aren't we all superhumans?” Kazuna points put.  “He even finished all of his fights in one hit.” Matt adds, ignoring Kazuna's snide remark.  “Really?” Kazuna says mildly impressed.  “Yeah really. He was crazy strong.” Matt exclaims.  “Well, Kazuna will beat him.” Emiko states. She had become a pretty big fan of Kazuna’s.  “Do I have to participate?” Kazuna asks. Everyone at the table looks at him with blank faces. “WWWHHHAAATTT?!?!?” They yell together, catching the gaze of everyone in the cafeteria.  “What do you mean?” Kagura asks.  “Well, I don’t really want to participate.” Kazuna answers, shrugging his shoulders.  “But this is a huge opportunity to show combat agencies what you’re made of.” Akeno reiterates.  “Yeah. Imagine all the girls you’ll get when you show off your crazy power and moves on TV!” Matt says pulling at Kazuna with a strangely serious face. The girls all look at him with raised eyebrows.  “A-Anyways,” Kagura says deciding to ignore Matt’s remark. “ Why don’t you want to participate.?” Kagura asks.  “I don't really want to be the center of attention for personal reasons.” Kazuna answers, a little annoyed by the prying.  Everyone is astonished by Kazuna not wanting to participate. They decide to leave it be for the time being and finish their lunch while talking about other things. After Kazuna and Kagura finish their food they excuse themselves from the group and head toward the student council room. After a couple of minutes of walking, they arrive at their destination. “Well, I might as well head to our next class.” Kagura says.  “Actually, could you accompany me since you’re a student council member. Also, I really don’t want to get lost on the way back.” Kazuna asks.  “Yea, sure. I actually wanted to know what they wanted with you anyways.” Kagura states as she opens the door.  The student council room was a large, dimly lit room. There was a large wooden desk at the back center of the room with furniture laid out in front of it. There were two doors on either side of the room. Kazuna assumed that one led to a storage room and the other to a conference room of sorts. “Oh, you’re here. Please have a seat.” A girl who was sitting at the desk said.  She had short blue hair and an athletic body type. Kazuna assumed she was the student council president, due to the fact that she was sitting at the president’s desk. Kazuna takes a seat on a couch and Kagura takes a seat next to him. The president sits across from them.  “So, what did you want with me?” Kazuna asked trying to get straight to the point.  “Straight to the point. Can’t say I don’t like that.” She says while pouring some tea. “Well since I did call you here with no warning so I can't blame you. My name is Chika Ayanami, the student council president, and I want you to join the student council. Specifically as part of the disciplinary committee.” She states while sipping her tea.  “HUH?” Kagura shouts in shock.  “Don’t be so surprised. Kazuna has excellent grades and is extremely talented. It was only a matter of time before this came up.” Ayanami replies.  “Even so It’s only been a couple of weeks since he’s transferred here. Isn’t this a bit soon?” Kagura asks.  “That is true, but considering that he beat Katsugaya pretty convincingly, that's a small technicality that we can overlook. Honestly, we should have tried to recruit him the day after but other members were unsure if he had the academic ability, which he has shown he has. So Kazuna, what’s your answer?” Ayanami finishes. “I decline.” Kazuna answers.  “May I ask why?” Ayanami asks. "She doesn't seem shocked I declined. She must have expected me to decline then, so what else does she have to bring?" Kazuna asks himself before answering.  “You’re hiding some things from me. Like the other reason you want me to join.” Kazuna clarifies.  “I see. You’re smarter than we thought. Alright, then I’ll tell you. Although it’s true we want you because of your ability, however, we also want you so that we can keep an eye on you. It’s not that we suspect you of anything it’s more of we don’t know anything about you at all and some people in the student council don’t like that. So by having you join the student council, it will allow the other members to get a better idea of who you are and it’ll give you more freedom since the student council won’t have to send members to spy on you.” Ayanami answers.  “I see. Well, I guess I don’t have a reason to decline now, do I? In fact, it’s more beneficial to both of us. Although I'm confident that I could shake off any spy you send to watch me, it would be annoying to have to deal with it every day.” Kazuna replies. Through this whole meeting, Kagura could only sit there with a confused expression.  “Well then, since you’ve accepted the position come by the student council room after school. We have a meeting so I’ll give you everything you need and inform you of your responsibilities. OK.” Ayanami says.  “Sure, sure. Am I free to go now? ” Kazuna asks. "Well, there is one more thing. Since you're a member of the student council you are required to take part in the Coalition Festival." She states. Kazuna lets out a grumbled sigh. "I really didn't want to take part in this festival thing but I guess I don't really have any other option." He says reluctantly. "Well with that attitude I can already guess that you won't really try when the festival comes around so how about I throw in an incentive." Ayanami says.  "What kind of incentive?" Kazuna asks a bit interested. "I can tell that you're someone that likes your freedom so how about this. If you try your best and bring home GA first place in the festival then you won't have to deal with some of the constraints that the other members do such as volunteering or simple discussion meetings. Although there will be some meetings of higher importance that you will have to attend. I can also limit the number of challenges you receive. Since you've become quite popular, there will be a good amount of challenges, so I'm sure you'll really appreciate that." Ayanami states. "Hmmm... Fine, I guess that's good enough for me." Kazuna says. "Great. Well, then that'll be all. You're free to go." Ayanami says.  “Well, if you’ll excuse us then.” Kazuna says as he bows and exits the room with Kagura in tow.  “What just happened?” Kagura asked as they were walking back to class.  “Basically, the student council is curious about, me so they decided that having me close by was a good way of watching me.” Kazuna answers.  “Makes sense I-I guess? I mean, she did get you to actually participate in the festival.” Kagura says a bit confused. A bell rings signaling the start of their next class.  “Oh, perfect timing, we just got out of that meeting.” Kazuna says. Once the two enter the class everyone crowds around them, hounding Kazuna on why he wasn't going to be in the Coalition festival.  "Calm down everyone, Kazuna is going to participate so calm down please." Kagura shouts managing to calm the class. "Oh, so we had nothing to worry about? What changed your mind?" Matt asks. "The student council president. She can be pretty persuasive." Kazuna answers. "Oh, I see. She can be pretty persuasive with those curves, that fit body, that pretty face-" Matt is interrupted by Kagura who slams her fist into the top of his head.  "Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Matt cries as everyone else laughs. At the end of the day, Kazuna and Kagura head towards the student council room together.  "Do you have any idea what the meeting is about?" Kazuna asks. "Hmmm... Well since the Coalition Festival is so close, it will probably mostly focus on that. You'll also be a topic of discussion. Knowing the student council president she probably made the itinerary for this meeting fully assuming that you would accept her proposal." Kagura says. "Is there nothing but frightening women in this school?" Kazuna says to himself.  They reach the student council room and enter. From this meeting, Kazuna will extrapolate just how far ahead Ayanami was thinking.
