Jennifer's sudden behavior took me by surprise. Even though I suspected that her reaction was coming from a place of hurt and envy, one would expect that she could comport herself especially since this was an official environment.
Even though I have never seen her act that way since she started working for me, the audacity was too much to be ignored.
Aside from the fact that I have a thing or two for Alex, she is family and as such should be accosted the due respect.
She spoke to Alex with so much irritation and didn’t hide her feelings of not wanting Alex to be in the same space with her.
Still, I held on to Alex, adamant to let her go, If anyone was supposed to leave, it certainly wasn't her. We had some unfinished business to settle.
