Sunrise came with a healthy dose of memories; the type that caused me to swallow hard every minute.
What if Richard had attempted a kiss and Mom had seen us? Even though it has been days since that happened, I occasionally couldn't help but imagine the worst.
My mom would have thought of me as a slut that wants to ruin her perfect family. It would give her more reasons to justify why she had left me in the first place.
Luckily for us, we moved away from each other as soon as we heard footsteps approaching, so Mom wasn’t allowed to see anything that she shouldn’t have. However, I was still racked with guilt.
