The package with the dress in it was received by me in the morning, the same morning, although in much later hours that the event will be taking place.
I still find it to be against my will and better judgment to be attending such a thing, but as Owens said, annoyingly, but factually, he is still my boss and has every right to get me to attend such a thing.
Once in my room, I decided to check out the dress for what it's worth. It is a sleeveless long black open-back dress and a body that seems to reflect a lot of light. I stare at it, wondering how I will look in it, and in the next few minutes, I have to start putting it on.
