My eyes widened in shock and I quickly used my free hand to try to block out the incoming assault but when nothing came, I gradually lowered my hands and my eyes widened in relief.
“you are hurting me. Owen!” Annabel shouted and tried to wriggle her wrist from Owen's hold. Owen let go of her hand and pushed her away from me while his hand protectively encased my shoulders.
“lay a hand on my guest and I will make sure I sink your company to the ground” he threatened and Annabel's eyes glistened, she gave a long huff and walked away from us, hitting me with her shoulder.
