Alex' POV Mom kept pretending from a distance to be oblivious of what had happened. It was a frustrating sight to see. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched her do that, still with the grimace on her face. I suddenly remembered my childhood, I grew up with a different mother from the one I had now. When I was a child, everything was normal with my parents. Mum wasn’t exactly the sweetest, but she wasn’t the cold-hearted she had become. Our lives were simple, Dad was barely around but when he came home, he came with lots of gifts for Mum and That was the only time I saw her smile, she was happy, or so I thought.
