“happy new year”

And the fiery sparks burst through the starry night , everyone started clicking the pictures to upload them on their social media platform , but there was this seventeen year old beautiful girl who was the keener on savoring the moment in her brain , in her heart rather than capturing them in her phone camera , but for her parents the sparks that her eyes held was much more capturing than those fireworks , their heart warmed up looking at their daughter’s expression , oh how they lightened up her face , the smile she had on her angelic face was much more illuminating than those displays could ever have been ..

“dad ...... Dad look Italy looks so beautiful under those lights” Edward’s and Olivia’s trances broke when their precious little daughter tugged on his sleeves , The excitement , joy and happiness were all visible in her deep earth like green eyes ....

“I know my princess..It’s very beautiful” Edward nodded in agreement with his little girl whose smile widened at it , she moved her gaze back to the beautiful sky but now her excitement died down and her face expression turned into a gloomy one

“can’t we stay here for some more days , dad , please” the girl gave her best puppy eyes to her dad and mum . This was the first time in her seventeen years of life that her parents had finally gave in and they had finally taken her on a vacation for new years celebration and now the thought of leaving this country didn’t fit well with her .

“no grace, it’s already been two weeks since we are here and now it’s time to go back” Edward told her with a sad smile , grace pouted , she didn’t wish to leave the beautiful place so soon and go back to the place from where she would never step out again .

“come let’s go , I have already booked a cab for us ,it’s waiting outside” olivia told the duo who were busy in exchanging the frowns and sad pouts .

“ok mum” she sighed after taking one last glance at the fireworks but still praying to god that somehow she gets to stay here more....

But little did she know that someday she would be begging to escape this country.

As their cab passed through the silent roads of italy . grace gloominess increased more making it more unbearable for her father who didn’t like it a little bit .

“come on princess ,dad loves your smile , I promise next time we will visit Greece ok...so come on and give me that big cute smile ” her dad said trying to lighten up her mood

“promise dad” she grinned her happiness grew and the excitement switch that was off was now turned back to on again .

“yes” her dad promised laughing how fast her mood changed .

“wow dad I love you ” she said in her high pitch voice but before her dad could even reply the car flipped and then darkness welcomed all of them with open arms .

After few hours

The rusty smell , the dripping water and the cold icy rough floor welcomed Edward and olivia back to consciousness , their eyes widened in shock when they realized that both of them were chained to the walls , their breathing grew heavier in nervousness when they couldn’t find their daughter in the same cell as theirs

“where is my daughter” Edward’s angry voice made the captors flinch but none of them said a word.

“open your damn mouth and tell us where she is ” this time olivia bellowed and the captors started shivering in fear .

“s-she is in the cell beside yours” one of the captor informed them . both olivia and Edward sighed in relief , atleast their daughter was near them but their relief vanished when they heard grace’s heavy breathing .

Grace was trying a lot to breath properly , she wasn’t unconscious anymore but still not conscious enough to interpret the situation she was in ,her eyelids were too heavy to even open them ..her head was throbbing in pain , the warm liquid that was flowing down her face was enough proof that her head was injured , fighting with her ownself she forced open her eyes ,but everything felt foggy , everything was dark ..trying to clutch her head she groaned as the metal cuffs pierced through her wrists ...her whole body started shivering , her panic attack coming into actions

“listen please let us go to her , she is claustrophobic , she will die if we didn’t calm her down” olivia shouted at the unknown figures dressed in black cloaks

“please let us save our daughter , if anything happens to her ..then your king will kill all of you” Edward roared furiously , hitting on their right nerve .

Hearing this the men got terrified because they all knew how much important was the girl for their king and if anything happens to her ..their king would kill them in the most brutal way ....so due to fear they unchained olivia and Edward ...as soon as they got out of those chains they ran towards their precious daughter ...

“calm down grace , we are here ..breath in and breath out ...” olivia kept repeating her words while edward kept stroking her back to calm her down , slowly grace calmed down and opened her eyes still struggling with her dizziness .

“we are going to get us out of here , so you need to be strong grace ok ” edward whispered in her ears and grace just nodded .

“dad what happened , why are we here and what these people want from us ” she asked, her voice was low and hoarse .

“listen carefully grace, we’ll try to run from here and you’ll do whatever we say ok ...do you promise” her mum said while a lone tear escaped her eyes .

grace was confused but still she nodded ...taking it as the cue , Edward silently indicated olivia ...and on the spur of the moment, Edward stood in front of the black dark figures and threw a ball of fire on them while olivia did something with her hands as if putting some spells and suddenly all the chains that had captivated grace got vanished in the thin air .

edward carried her bridal styled and ran to escaped the horrible dungeon , but as they ran out of the place they realized that they were somewhere in the middle of the forest

“Edward we won’t be able to teleport ourselves ..this is a full moon night and our powers are weak ..we need to run ” olivia told Edward to which he nodded while grace looked at them in confusion but still didn’t question them ...after almost half an hour of running they found the road and relief washed over them when they saw a cab coming towards them but suddenly they found that the night was getting darker and darker , the stars had already faded away, both Edward and olivia looked at eachother in fear they had realized that the king himself was comming..........edward made grace stand back on her feet .

“listen my child you know na that we love you ” said her father cupping her face to which she nodded ...edward handed her a locket and a card which had someone’s name and address...

“listen grace you go to the hotel in the taxi and catch the flight for newyork , trey is there , this is his current address ..he’ll help you and look after you ....and other than him do not trust anyone and if anyone claims to be trusted then run away from them a-and be safe ” his voice held urgency ,helplessness and immense sadness ,tears were the proof of it .

“don’t cry darling..we can’t see you crying ” olivia said kissing her forehead but it didn’t stop grace from crying her pain out ..so many things were eating her alive and confusion was the main , she didn’t know why her parents were behaving like this

“why dad ,why are you saying this, look taxi is here and we can leave together come let’s go please mum please” her voice came out desperate .

“princess you are strong and you promised us that you’ll do whatever we say so now run and don’t look back , we’ll always love you ...now please go please ” her mother practically was begging in front of her making her heart clench in pain , reluctantly she seated in the taxi ....

as the taxi left from the place, the figures of her parents faded away ...once the taxi dropped her at her destination ,she ran towards the hotel grabbed her things and left for the airport but she was still reluctant to leave her parents ...she was standing outside the hotel, waiting for the taxi but when she saw a scary dark figure coming towards her she ran across the road and before she could run anymore she got hit by a car and then everything blacked out .
