The next day, Barry fidgeted in his office until the clock approached the noon hour. Justin had still not contacted him. He had to find out what was going on.
“I’m going to lunch,” he told Tina. “I may take care of some business too, so put off any calls until about two, okay?”
“Of course, boss. However, I’ll be out for about an hour myself.”
He shrugged. “One of the tellers can answer the phone then.”
Although it was not a place he typically went, he had no client to impress today and a taste for a good plate of chile relleños. That meant Reina del Sol, a little family café not nearly as elegant as its name which translated to Queen of the Sun. Besides, it was halfway or more from the bank to the pet grooming shop.
