Stars twinkled in the night sky. Wondering why the window was open in the dead of winter, realisation hit her like a tidal wave. Embarrassment filled her once more as she attempted to hide her face in the crook of Asher’s arm. A low chuckle reverberated from his chest as his fingers trailed softly over the bare skin of her shoulders. The goosebumps intensified on her skin, not from the chill, but from the heat of her mate's touch.
