Nikita watched Joel’s eyes ignite with fury as he took in her dishevelled state. Then ever so slowly…like a predator observing it’s prey, Joel took in Kyle from head to toe, his lip curling into a sneer as he regarded the expensive shoes and shirt Kyle wore.
“So this is how it’s going to be? Is this the path you have chosen to take?” Joel fired off quickly in spanish, his gaze slicing to Nikita. “Look at you…is this the example you’re setting for our daughters?” Joel asked silkily, his tone soft yet ominous. “Tell him to leave and I might forgive you,” Joel abruptly demanded.
He was speaking every single word in spanish, purposefully trying to keep Kyle out of the loop. Joel wanted to make him feel like an outsider. That did not sit well with Nikita at all.
