Chapter nine

They all ran upstairs. For a moment there was silence then they saw the man's shadow at the window. Then he was gone. " I think he left " Tina whispered. But after two minutes  there was a huge crash. He had broken the window and was now jumping inside.

Helter skelter they ran upstairs to a room. And went inside and bolted it. The sound of his by footsteps could be heard on the staircase. It was unbelievable.  " Now what we do the police should be here any moment " Katie was saying.

Outside the siren of a police car could be heard. " Thank God they have arrived " Tina whispered. And outside the door there was silence. " I'm not opening this door until they catch that scoundrel " Katie said. Rhia agreed with her. 

A policemen knocked on the door saying " open up its fine we have caught him. You can come out now. " It was surreal for them all of this. Katie patted Tina s shoulder and they slowly opened the door. A cop was out. He told her to come outside and not to fear. They went downstairs with him. Down they saw the masked man in handcuffs. " Good for him " Tina thought.
