The following morning dawned clear and bright with the sun sparkling on the carpet of fresh, perfect snowflakes. Certain Ty would have been up before the sun, Shannon encased herself in her winter gear and headed out to her car, which she’d started a quarter of an hour ago to let it warm up in the bitterly cold morning. She would have preferred to walk over to the Bar E and let the endorphins released by the exertion settle her nerves, but after Ty had refused to answer his door yesterday afternoon, she wasn’t certain he would want to talk to her, and she didn’t want to brave the subzero temperatures for nothing if that was the case.
