Chapter 13: Fornham’s Digs, 1921It transpired that whilst he was out, Grant had managed to identify the corpse. Archibald Fornham, twenty-two years of age, roomed in a boarding house in Stepney. His landlady had reported him missing this morning when she realized he hadn’t been home for a couple of days. Fornham’s digs were typical of the type of man the clothes and the state of the body implied. Slightly down-at-heel chap, home from the war, brother and parents deceased, looking for work. They went through his rooms carefully, but nothing stood out as pointing at someone who was likely to be murdered, or even someone who made a hobby of large cats.
