Trepidation flows through my body as I step off the aircraft. I have hardly returned to Wetwang since I met William. We did return here, after we first met, on that fate filled day, only to be met with a barrage of racially fuelled backlash. It seemed my parents had been accepting of my mate as an Alpha of colour, when he was on the opposite side of the world and had not marked and mated with their daughter. However, it was a different story completely when faced with the reality that I was mated to an African/American. It was a painful time, in more ways than one.
