Silver’s eyes stare at me in surprise and it takes him a moment to respond to my request. “We are in different lands, how am I supposed to teach you anything?” he challenges me, but I already have my answer ready.
“Simple. You’ll be reaching my mind through the essence during the day … And you’ll come into my dreams every night, so I can learn and practice all the time,” I reply in the same tone, my lips pulling up into a victorious smirk, as he keeps quiet.
After a moment, he finally speaks up, making it seem like he’s choosing his words carefully. “No offence, Arya. I’ll gladly teach you how to shield your mind, but entering someone’s head with the intention to attack … This is far too difficult for you to master. Not when you don’t even know how to put up a shield.”
