I gave Charlie one last kiss before I left her in her suite to pack up a few bags for our trip. I told her that I would return shortly to her room to gather her and her belongings and help her sneak out of the pack house hopefully undetected.
I needed to go and gather my things from the room I had been sharing with Chad. I also needed to contact my Beta, Jason, and see if he could handle taking care of my pack responsibilities for a few more days while I assisted Charlie in figuring out how to control her powers.
