Rose’s POV
Maddie has been staying with me for the last few days, it’s been nice having someone here other than me and Mr. Business. And it’s made me feel safer having her here even with my tail. I haven’t heard back from Hunter, but I’m hoping I will soon. Nick will be here in a few minutes to pick me up. Today we’re going on a road trip to scout a potential opponent for me.
“So what are you getting ready for?” Maddie says walking into my room.
“Nick and I are going to scout a fighter.” I tell her.
“So have you finally given him another chance?” Maddie sits on the bed while I pull my jeans on.
“It’s not like that. We’re just going to go see a fight.”
