*Zara* I could do nothing but watch helplessly as Noah strode out of the room and shut the door firmly behind him. As soon as he was gone, my hot rage and frustration simmered down, and the room felt extremely cold without his presence. I wondered what had happened throughout the course of a single day to make Noah turn from sweet and hopeful to hateful. I blinked, my mind replaying the events of that same morning when he had looked me in the eye with so much devotion and vowed to get his memories back so that we could go back to the way things were, to go back to being the couple that we were before. That couple seemed so far away now, I realized as tears of confusion and hurt filled my eyes. I was still trembling slightly from the rage that burned in Noah's normally calm blue eyes.
