I was completely touched by Noah's loyalty as a friend to help me with this. I hoped that I would help him find his mate at some point too.
We were hanging out in the lounge area, going through our laptops and responding to messages from archeologists.
“We're getting closer and closer," I said. “I can feel it. Since there are caves near the last one we excavated, and the conditions were nearly right, I think we'll be right on the nose soon."
“That's good to hear," Noah said, his tone positive. “There are no reports of direct rogue attacks, though my scouting guards have reported some eyes on them."
I let out a sigh. That part of this whole ordeal was stressing me out. There was nothing I could do about it, though, and Noah had it taken care of.
