Madeleine skid into the hospital doors and asked for her mother at the front desk. A nurse led her down a long hallway towards her mother's hospital room. Madeleine's heart beat loudly in her chest and went up to her ears. She pulled her coat closer around herself when she caught sight of a patient in the corner of her eye through a glass window. 'Couldn't be...' She shook it off and kept following the nurse down the long hallway. She had to see her. She had to make sure she was alright.
"She's stable, but we want to make sure she is okay. We'll keep her for a couple of days." The nurse spoke in a calming manner and Madeleine nodded.
The nurse stopped in front of a room and knocked. "Your daughter is here to see you." She sweetly spoke through the door.
