Episode 4

Ange's P.O.V

"Now you are making me nervous, Trevor. Say it quickly. What do you want me to do? I do not think that I could be of much help to someone like you." I said cautiously, without being able to figure out what was he expecting from me exactly.

The bite that I was about to take from my freshly made pancakes, stayed on my plate as it is, while I waited patiently for Trevor to enlighten me more on the matter that he just mentioned to me earlier.

Eva kept on playing on his lap, ever so happily being least bothered about the current tensed up situation that I found myself in right now.

"What do you mean by someone like me?" This time Trevor stopped eating only to look up and to see me with wonder in his eyes.

"I mean, you are the alpha of the Blue Moon pack. Of course, you do not need help from someone like me, when you have so many men around you to follow your orders right away. You do not even have to lift a finger for that. That is why I am curious to know, what is there that I can help you with?" I replied, without any kind of fear that I was talking to an alpha indeed.

"Well, I do have to lift fingers, Ange. I mean I have to lift a lot of things that you can not even imagine, cause an alpha must not stay back doing nothing, while his men work hard all the time. So, for me, it is only my duty to lead my pack, making sure that I look after each and every member who belongs to the Blue Moon as well as the guests who stay here as my responsibility. And again, what do you mean by someone like you? You are using that phrase quite often, you know?" Trevor gave quite a long speech to me, and again went busy to eat his breakfast, holding Eva carefully on his lap with the other hand.

"I meant to say that, when it is me who always needed your help then how am can I help you?" I asked right after, trying to justify my words, in case Trevor takes me wrong.

But it seemed that he always behaves casually with me, for some reason. And it will not say that I do not like that at all, cause I do, totally.

It gives me a certain feeling that when I am already a rootless one, at least I got someone by my side with whom I could be friendly and talk about anything and everything, without any kind of hesitation.

"You are overthinking, Ange. Do not underestimate yourself." Saying the words, he took a quick glance at me and kept on eating the rest of the pancakes.

"So, are you willing to do it or not? Even so, as I said earlier, that I do not want to hear a 'no' from you. Please, do keep that in mind, okay?" He said after some time, when he was finally done with his breakfast.

Yes, he was a fast eater while my plate remained almost the same, cause my mind was already clouded with so many thoughts at the same time.

"Do I have any other choice?" I asked making a face at him in order to mock him.

"No." Trevor replied, pretending to be all grumpy, which he was not right now, and I knew that very well.

"I guessed so. Anyway, I will be glad to do something for you." I uttered with a smile which made him smile with me as well, seeing that he won at last.

"Good. You made the right choice, Angelina." He praised me and lifted up Eva in his arms once again and hugged her tightly, causing her to start giggling even more than before.

Tsk.

This girl is really a lovesick.

I do not know how she is going to become when she grows up one day.

And only by thinking about Eva's growing up, I panicked in my mind, realising that I will be old too by then.

Ughhh...

But what to do.

"So, what is the thing? You did not even tell me and we were already done arguing. Now, would you care to explain, please?" I asked again, and went on to finish the things on my plate, as soon as possible.

"I want you to join my army from now on. I wanted you to be trained as the best warrior, cause in case I could not be around you for some reason, then I would be assured at least thinking that you can protect yourself as well as this little angel, Eva. So, it is fixed then, that you are coming every single day at the backyard of our pack-house to get trained with the rest of my members. Listen to me very carefully, Ange. At any cost, I do not want to see you absent from the training, or else I would show you how harsh I am as the alpha. Okay?" Trevor said, and his face was as serious as ever, which was enough for me to know that he was not at all joking at this moment. And whatever he just said as his reason was not wrong at all, cause it was expected from some Alpha like him, who always wanted to keep his people safe from every kind of danger.

But how do I tell him that I do not even need a training? And even if I attain any, they will surely know what exactly I am capable of. Even so, I think no one would ever dare to practice with me, or even come near me, if they get familiar with my powers and strength.

Anyway,

I can not say no to him now. So, I guess I have to try from now on, to control my strength and be easy with others during training.

But the main problem was that how am I supposed to manage the training with my work hours now?

"Trevor." I called out his name thinking that I might be able to make him reconsider that matter once again.

"Yes? What now?" He asked right after with a scowl on his face, seeing that I was still attempting to deny his suggestions. But who would make him understand that I was worried about something else right now?

"It is fine with me to join your pack-training, but about the timing, my work usually...." I could not even finish my sentence when he interrupted in between my words, to declare that now it was absolutely impossible for me to back out.

"You do not need to worry about that, cause I will take care of your job timing, so that you can do both without any hindrance. And about looking after Eva, you can rest assured on me. I am very good at taking care of pups, believe me. And moreover, I would love to give my angel some company when you will be busy. So, can I take that as your final yes?" Trevor said as if there is no such problem in the entire world which he can not solve.

And I had no other choices left to say otherwise.

"Yes." I could not help but agree with him at last.

"Okay, then I am expecting to see you at the training ground at sharp six in the morning, from tomorrow onwards." Trevor asserted right away.

Fuck.

I am doomed.

I need to wake up early in the morning every day from now on.

I can see very clearly how my sweet sweet sleep is going to be snatched away from me ever so brutally, from yesterday.

I can not help but sigh.

Just when I thought of that, my head started to ache tremendously, and somehow, I felt that something like this had already happened to me before. But I just could not recall no matter how hard I tried to remember.

"Finish your breakfast, Ange." Trevor's words pulled me out of my trance all of a sudden, and I felt the sudden rush to finish my plate as soon as possible, cause I needed to get ready for my job now.

"Is it okay for you, if I take Eva with me today? She will be fine with me. And you can work with a free mind." He said after some time, attempting to help me to take care of my daughter for me. And I did not see any reason to reject his offer.

So, without thinking much I agreed right away, seeing that Eva was really comfortable with her uncle Trevor around her.

"I hope she will not give you much trouble." I replied, feeling a bit bad for Trevor, thinking that my daughter might prevent him from doing his work through out the day, when I can not be around her to accompany today.

"Not a chance. Can you not see how much she loves me. I have a deep-seated feeling that she even likes me more than she loves you. What do you think, Ange?" Trevor pulled her tiny body up in front of his face, just when Evan showed her toothless smile once again, showing how right he was about my own daughter.

I just can not believe, that my own pup will betray me one day in such a way.

Huh...

You little devil.

I will see you, when your Trevor will not be around.

"Yes, I can see that you are right." I said with a grumpy tone, and glared at that little traitor in Trevor's hands.

And seeing me angry for no reason, she knows very well how to calm me down in no time, as she gave me her best guilty smile right after, even when she did not bother herself at all to crawl down from Trevor to come to me.

Anyway,

After we were done with our breakfast and feeding my pup until she is full, Trevor took her away with him, and I had to rush to my work within the little bit of time that I had left to be present at my workplace.

The rest of the day went as usual.

The entire day passed in no time even before I could even realise.

Soon, the night came down, declaring the fact that it was now time for me to get off from work.

Finally, I could go to my daughter.

I missed her the entire day, while I could not help thinking about how she was doing without me, even when I knew that she would be with Trevor without any worry.

Anyway,

As soon as I got off from work, I rushed to the pack-house of Blue Moon, being sure enough that she would be right there without any doubt.

And just when I had finally arrived at the pack-house after spending a long day, I did not even have to trouble myself much to find my daughter out, cause she was already at the middle of the whole crowd as the centre of attention, while everyone was surrounding her with a lot of excitement due to her tiny little presence here in the huge dining hall of the pack-house, for tonight.

Yes, that how my Eva is.

Wherever she goes, she draws everyone's attention without even doing much.

And even today, the same thing happened as I can see.

Though Trevor was also there with her, just as he promised me, the whole pack was also present there at the dining hall and was cheering for her as my Eva was trying to walk with her tiny little feet.

Seeing such sight, I could not help feeling warm from inside, thinking that even though I could not be with my family, still I got them by our side, irrespective of the fact that we were still not familiar with everyone from the Blue Moon pack.

I might have lost in my thoughts once again for some reason, that I could not realise actually when Trevor found out that I was standing there for quite some time now. As he stood up and came to my side as soon as he saw me.

"We all were waiting for you. Come, have a seat and today you will have dinner with all of us." Trevor said all of a sudden for which I was not at all prepared.

Even though I had been hesitating to intrude, I had no other choice left, when Trevor had already started to pull me by my wrist to take me to seat with others.

And at last, after seeing me, Eva who was showing off her little tricks of walking until now and was gaining a lot of appraisals, tried to walk hurriedly to come to me with sudden joy.

But it seemed that her newly found ability did not allow her to run at this instant, as she tripped on her way and was about to fall before all our sight.

The whole crowd which was cheering her until now, gasped altogether as they all were witnessing the little tragedy that was about to happen.

But even before they could help her out, preventing Eva from getting hurt, another small pair of hands held her with all his strength and saved her from falling, even when he was also so young.

"Do not cry. I got you. Okay?" That little boy held Eva in his tiny arms and coxed her as she got really terrified witnessing her first failure in life.

Seeing them together, I could not help smiling warmly at them. Cause I saw how that little boy was acting just like a grown-up in order to keep my Eva calm, even when he was as young as a five years old pup, I guess.

"Daddy!! Daddy!! Look, she is not crying. I did not let her cry, Daddy." The boy lifted up Eva and carried her carefully on his way towards us, letting her dangle from his tight hold, so that she does not fall, anyhow.

But, did he just called Trevor Daddy?

I did not know that he has a son. I have never asked, neither he told me before. Then why I had never seen his mate anywhere until now, since the day I have arrived here in the Blue Bay pack?

I have seen Trevor with the body before but I have never seen any woman around him.

So, what could be the story, of this Trevor and this little boy?

"Yes, Noah. I saw that. You did a great job. You are a big guy now, aren't you? Daddy is so proud of you." Trevor replied him right away, and ruffled his hair playfully.

And it seemed that being praised by his daddy, Noah became all happy, and handed Eva over to his dad safely and soundly.

And I must say that anyone would become happy in an instant if they see such a jolly and cheerful boy like Noah, and I was no different from any of them.

"Noah! Come. I want you to meet someone. This is..." With that Trevor was about to introduce me with his son, but Noah could not let him finish as he took over to complete the rest of the sentence on behalf of him.

"She is Ange. I know, Daddy." He said with a warm smile and came to me with wonders in those beautiful eyes.

"Hi, Noah. You are such a big boy, now, as I can see." I bent down to his level and offered him a hand just like grown-ups do.

But it seemed that he was not at all pleased with my gesture, as he jumped on my lap in the next moment and hugged me tightly with those tiny arms, and said with utter joy,

"Are you my new mommy?"
