I am now heading to the Tokyo tower dungeon. This place used to be one of the busiest places in Tokyo. Either people come to sightseeing or now come to enter the dungeon. The dungeon itself located right beside the Tokyo tower entrance so the number of casualties could be imagined when the prologue happened. I heard that it took them five days just to wipe the trails of blood in the surroundings.

Today I have decided to do the E rank Tokyo tower dungeon. This dungeon will be an open prairie. A lot of dungeon divers are working together to clear the dungeon because this is a time limit dungeon. Unlike the kobold dungeon and the chimera dungeon which has no time limit, this dungeon required a dungeon diver to kill all the monsters within one day. That is why many people are grouping up together in order to clear the dungeon.

It is the reason why this place becomes even more bustling after the dungeon opened. A lot of dungeon divers are actually looking for party members to clear the dungeon. I myself haven’t tried the party system because there’s no one can see me or invite me to their party. Not like I wanted to join them either. I choose this dungeon because I wanted to test myself and further improve my skills.

If I was doing a normal dungeon, there will be no way to clearly tell whether I have improved or not. Using the time limit, I can see how many monsters I kill each run or how fast I can clear the dungeon. Of course, not counting that there will be others inside the dungeon. If there are others inside the dungeon then I can only patiently wait before the dungeon reset and get in first before the others and find the furthest place to start killing a monster to test how many did, I really kill.

From the dungeon information that I bought from the auction tower, the monster inside this dungeon is rainbow deer, war rhino, and wild hawk. They each have their own characteristic. The rainbow deer are tricky to hunt because of their sensitivity to humans and their evasion speed. The war rhino’s body is covered by a thick hide that couldn’t be penetrated by a normal weapon. The wind hawk is even harder to kill since it was flying in the air.

Since this dungeon doesn’t provide a dungeon exit either, one needs to kill every monster in order to get out. This is why this dungeon can be an endless loop if you are trapped inside without being able to come out. I bring a ration for one-two weeks just in case I will be there for a longer time.  But I think since there is a deer, I could eat their meat if I run out of food.

Eating a monster as food is not uncommon. They even said that a monster from a higher-ranked dungeon is tastier than a monster in the lower-ranked dungeon. I am not sure about that so the only way to find out is by tasting them myself.

Different from another dungeon, there is a blackboard in front of the dungeon. What’s written on it is the name of people who have come inside the dungeon. When they come out of the dungeon, they will erase it. It is a sign to tell people that someone is still inside. It is because someone can get trapped inside forever unless they clear the dungeon or escape using a fairy’s wing.

If someone has been inside for too long, a group of other dungeon divers might want to help them clear the dungeon or the worst case is that person died inside.

I think there is no need for me to write my name. After all, nobody will care whether I am in or not. From what I see, there’s already a lot of dungeon diver inside. More than 30. However, I bet not all of them are E rank dungeon divers. They are probably F rank dungeon divers that are trying to hunt by taking advantage of numbers.

There is no clear way to tell whether you are an E rank or F rank dungeon divers since no one else other than you can see your own status window except detection skill. The government is also pretty lazy about it so the dungeon divers ranking is made by dungeon divers themselves.

If you are able to clear F rank dungeon, then you are an F rank dungeon diver. if you aren’t even able to clear an F rank dungeon then you can’t be considered as a dungeon diver. You might be considered as a suicidal person or unranked.

Then it is the same for E to A rank dungeon divers. The so-called ‘heroes’ are dubbed as A-rank because they managed to clear A rank dungeon. Although the details are not specified, I bet it is the easiest A rank dungeon. For now, I can be considered as E rank dungeon diver since I am able to clear E rank dungeon. Although if you are looking at my real combat ability, if I don’t have my cheat skill, I can be considered as a suicidal person to enter a dungeon.

Reading from the name list, there’s no one that I know. Of course, that’s to be expected. After all, I didn’t socialize at all with the other dungeon divers or trying to find out about them. The most notable one about the dungeon diver list in front of me is that there is actually a solo dungeon diver without a party. As they listed their name on the list, they usually put their party in a circle with them. I found someone who entered alone. This is interesting. Either that this person doesn’t have any party member like me or this person is really strong.

I will take note of the name, ‘Kana’.

I am going to enter the dungeon then. Walking inside the dungeon feels like a dream. When I blinked and opened my eyes, I am already in another place. However, I felt that at the moment I closed my eyes, my body is thrown in the air to someplace far away. I bet this is why many people have teleport motion sickness.

What greeted me is lush greenery. As far as my eyes can see it is full of nature. Tall clear grassland, surrounded by dense forest. I can also faintly hear the sound of water flowing not far from here. It is like coming to the countryside. I still remember that my parents used to bring me and my sister to my grandfather’s house. It is in the countryside. Wait, did my grandfather and grandmother is still alive? Did my family go there to escape? There’s no harm in checking about it later when I get back. Now, it’s time to hunt.

As the grassland is open and has no obstruction, I can see clearly in front of me that some group of people is fighting against a war rhino. It wasn’t that far from me and I can feel the ground tremored every time the war rhino moves. The party seemed to have a hard time against it since their attack is all repelled by its’ thick skin.

“Hime, try using your spell against it. Our weapon is useless.”

“Yuto, we already try to tell you that it is too early for us to go inside E rank dungeon.”

“But a lot of F ranked dungeon divers come to this dungeon. A lot of them make a fortune from this place.”

“You forget to mention that a lot of them are staying here forever too Ken.”

It is a party of three. The only girl of the party seemed to be a spellcaster. The two boys is trying their best to keep the war rhino attention at them. One is holding a sword while the other carrying a dagger. Judging from their equipment, it is even more shabby than me. Clearly, they are ranked lower than me. even though my equipment can’t be called glorious, at least I managed to acquire some equipment from the kobold dungeon to upgrade myself.

My current equipment is like this.

「Fire Sword (E rank, uncommon): Sharp sword made from firestone found in volcanoes. Add fire elemental damage to your basic attack. Attack +30, durability 105/120. Fire damage +5. 」

「Wolf’s Fang (E rank, rare): A sharp dagger made from a wolf’s canine tooth. Attack +35, durability 120/150. 」

「 Black mantle (E rank, common): A suitable mantle for those who work in the dark. Conceal skill +10, decrease presence, sneak attack +10. 」

「Wolf’s Armor (E rank, common): It looks fluffy and comfortable to wear but contrary to its’ appearance it gives a decent amount of protection. Defense +20, durability 280/300. 」

「Wolf’s Shoes (E rank, common): Comfortable shoes that make anyone who wears it more fashionable. Defense +20, durability 200/210. 」

Although it wasn’t complete since I am still lacking in a couple of areas, at least I didn’t look like a high school student on a field trip anymore. I look like a well-off newbie adventurer you see on RPG games.

My item durability is also decreasing at a slower pace compared to others. Item durability will decrease if you got hit by an attack, use your sword to hit an enemy, or even it will be decreased by itself as if it was decayed. I heard that most of the dungeon divers repaired their item at the auction tower for a high price. As one of the most famous dungeon service providers, the auction tower also offers a repairing service. The price of repair is different for each rank. 1$ per durability for F rank, 5$ per durability for E rank, 10$ for D rank, 100$ for C rank, 1000$ for B rank, and 10000$ for A rank. The time required also longer for higher rank. A rank item might take weeks just for repairing its durability.

It also tells us how amazing the auction tower is. For repairing item durability, someone needs to have a repair skill which is also considered rare. For repairing A rank item, someone needs to have a high level of the skill and this couldn’t come easily. The number of resources poured down to increase the skill level must cost a heart-bleeding sum even for the auction tower.

Back to the current situation, this party of three are going to meet their end if there’s no change in the situation. Oh, what’s that? The spell caster is actually able to do something outstanding.

She cast a fire elemental spell which surprises me. Even the girl from the party that I saved in the kobold dungeon didn’t cause such commotion when casting a spell.

In front of the girl, there is a fireball as big as a car. I can even feel the temperature start to rise from here. She must have used all of her mana for this spell. It is also not easy to control a spell that is exceeding your capability. One mistake and it could be your one-way ticket to the afterlife. Just from the sweat raining down on her forehead, it can be seen that it is burdening her.

Her teammate is keeping attention on her while doing their best trying to dodge the war rhino charge.

“Yuto, Ken, move aside! 《Fireball》!”

Her two teammates immediately move out of the way as her spell is launched towards the war rhino. In only a matter of seconds, the fireball landed perfectly on the war rhino’s body and it engulfed it completely. The fire keeps on burning for some time before it finally subsided. Good thing that it isn’t causing wildfire since this is grassland with easily combustible material.

The three of them looked relieved but it soon turned into horror as they realize that the war rhino isn’t dead. After the fire gone out, the war rhino’s body is charred but its’ eye is still full of energy. This monster is still alive. Looking at the health bar above its head, it can still give the three of them a sweet goodbye into heaven.

The three of them dropped to the ground as if they have given up on their survival chance. Just as I was about to lend them a hand, I saw a figure running from afar.

Of course, I wasn’t a saint but I will help if I can. Seeing someone died in front of me while I actually could prevent it, I don’t want to leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth seeing a m******e in front of me again.

But since this newcomer seemed able to help the three, I decided to watch for now.

The newcomer is a girl. She wears a shining armor and carried a two-handed sword with her. It clearly looked too big for her but she could carry it while running without a problem. To be honest, she looked like a heroine at this moment. Like Jeanne d’Arc going to war.

She arrived in front of the three, swing down her sword which split the war rhino into two equal parts. Even though some blood from the war rhino splattered into her body, it doesn’t make her look dirty. On the contrary, it makes her even more gallant. Her black hair is fluttering because of the wind and the sun focusing its light on her. Make her look ethereal. Her voice is like an angel as she asked the three.

“Are you guys okay?”
