My hunting for two days inside the kobold dungeon earns me $320,000 most of it comes from skill book and equipment. It was amazing that I could earn that much money. It was unthinkable for me to have that much money in my bank account when I am still a student.

It also shows how much the world has changed since the dungeon appeared. No wonder the so-called ‘heroes’ are so famous on TV. Talking about their power aside, the money they could get from clearing A rank dungeon should be in millions of dollars for one. Still, in the world dominated by dungeon, power and money are still taking control.

I also want to get stronger faster. Not because I want the riches, I just don’t want to be powerless and experiencing nightmare like the prologue. Although I am not a saint, if I am already aware of my power back then, I might be able to save my classmate. Not by killing the chimera though. Only by trying to take them away. I never get the chance to test my power but it might be able to bring others that I am in physical contact with to be hidden from the enemy. Just like how my swords aren’t being noticed by the kobold or the armor that I am wearing.

If it was only me myself that is being ignored, people will see my clothes floating and walking on its own and it will cause the opposite of people ignoring me. I will become the center of attention instead. So, I think my skill can influence things that I am in physical contact with. However, I didn’t plan on testing my theory right now since I don’t really care about the safety of others. Their survival doesn’t have anything to do with me anyway.

I am still level 13 right now so I need to hunt a lot of monsters to level up. My earlier hunt only grants me one level. Now I know why people are hunting in a party. Besides saving time, it is to ward off the feeling of boredom caused by repetitive action.

Honestly, my mind is a little bit tired too. Every attack that I did to the kobold is done with full focus. I need to make sure that every attack that I did will land correctly at the spot I desired and killed them in one hit. It consumes so much mental energy from concentration and I am glad that I haven’t gone crazy from overworking my brain. Or have I?

With the money I have right now, I might be able to learn a new decent skill by getting a skill book but I didn’t find any that I like. My current skill set is already enough for me. If there’s something that I want, it would be some kind of appraisal skill. To be able to let me see through my enemy stats or looking through other people skills and stats.

I browse through the auction tower history and I saw one basic appraisal skill that is sold for $10,000,000. I couldn’t imagine how much instant noodles you could buy using that much money and it actually spent on a basic appraisal skill book. I bet someone who awakened with appraisal skill is equal to Gods for others. I think the government will move to secure the people with this kind of skill though. As useless as they are when the dungeon appeared, they still have the authorities after the condition stabilized.

The current dungeon allocation system is also made by them along with other laws pertaining to the dungeon. The smartest thing they create is dungeon tax. To be honest, all my transaction in the auction tower is also subjected to a 32% tax. How good it is for me to risk my life in the dungeon and the government could just take 32% of it without doing anything.

Not like the government is useful when the prologue is happening. I heard that the military and police aren’t even working properly under emergency. The JSDF was dispatched to secure high-rank government officials and ignored the civilians. Don’t you know that you are paid by our tax? Civilians tax? Not the officials!

Oh well, complaining won’t change anything and make myself more tired. I’ll just go back home and sleep. I’ll save the money for later when I found something that I really want to buy. For now, it is enough to do E rank dungeon to slowly build up my battle experience.

I didn’t have any battle experience before and what I’ve done so far is solely relying on my imagination and my skill of being unimportant existence. What if one day the skill is not working anymore? Should I learn some self-defense martial arts and evasive movement? Or should I actually spend my money to get an armor that could protect me from an unexpected attack?

Well, I believe in my luck stats that it will bring me through adversities so actually, I am already content on my current situation. So, I think I will just go to sleep and take a rest.

This is already the fourth day that I am doing the kobold dungeon. To be honest, the kobold dungeon wasn’t that popular since the kobolds are hunting in groups. Because of that, no party lower than 5 dungeon divers choose this place to hunt. I also didn’t meet the dungeon divers that I saved again. Maybe they already leave this hunting point because of trauma or avoiding trouble. There’s also someone who looked to be stupid enough to try clearing the kobold dungeon alone but so far as I watched him, he only enters the dungeon and sits down near the entrance. What is his purpose in entering the dungeon? Suicide? Ah, of course, I am clearing the kobold dungeon alone but I am not stupid.

“Boris, how is it?”

“It’s like what we have concluded, Jacky. Someone is constantly clearing the kobold dungeon. Right now, this person could clear the kobold dungeon in around 2 to 3 hours. This person also did the kobold dungeon 3-4 times every day. I haven’t made any move or try to catch up to him; afraid that he will mistake me as having malicious intent.”

“Alright, I have made a report to the higher up. They will send two people over here. One with detection skill and one with appraisal skill.”

“Wow, detection, and appraisal. Their skills alone will put them as core members.”

“I am envious with them too but what can we do? Everyone is awakened with one useful skill if they are lucky and none if you’re unlucky. Only blessed people like the heroes are awakened with five to ten skill.”

“So, when they are coming?”

“Tomorrow.”

“Do you want me to keep on checking whether that guy is still doing the kobold dungeon?”

“It might be tiring for you but please keep an eye on that guy.”

“No problem. It is my job anyway.”

Boris and Jacky are working together. Boris is checking whether Kage is still doing the dungeon or not and Jacky is watching for any people that come in and out of the dungeon. Strangely enough, no other person entered or come out from the kobold dungeon for the past four days. It can be said that everyone forgets about the kobold dungeon. Although it wasn’t that popular, at least a group or two will come every day to test their skill or try their luck. However, for the past few days as long as that person is doing the dungeon, no one really cares about coming to the kobold dungeon. There might be others dungeon that is more profitable to run than the kobold dungeon but it was never this desolate before.

Boris and Jacky were from a big organization. Their task is to watch who is coming in and coming out of the dungeon. How fast is their record and if there’s a promising group or individual detected, they could try to recruit them. It was a hard job for someone who is inexperienced but Boris and Jacky clearly have a lot of experience in this field.

 Don’t look down on E rank dungeon or people on the 10-20 level range. It can be said that this is the moment people show their talents and potential whether they can make it big or not.

A party of five usually clear the kobold dungeon in 5-6 hours. A promising party could do it around 3-4 hours. If a party could do it in less than 2 hours then it means that they sure have big potential. This person that they are watching right now clears the dungeon in 2-3 hours and repeating it for 3-4 times a day.

If it was only an individual and not a party, the speed in which this person clears the dungeon can be said terrifying. If it was really a high-level player trying to test something in the kobold dungeon, they won’t be clearing it many times over and over again. Jacky and Boris have concluded that the person they are looking for might have a low level but has a high-level concealment skill.

 This is the jackpot that they have been waiting for. If they are successful in recruiting this person, Jacky and Boris will be rewarded greatly by their organization.

“Kuhuhu! I can’t wait to finally see this person. I wonder how high is his concealment to escape naked eyes.”

I think it was about time for me to go home. I have had enough of killing kobolds all the time. I think I should change to another dungeon. I will take a rest tomorrow and the day after I will go to Tokyo tower dungeon or Tokyo aquarium dungeon. It will depend on my mood on the day after. Whether I want to eat grilled fish or fried chicken. Alright, time to go home now.
