Elijah found it hard to concentrate during the meetings; his thoughts had been nowhere else but on Rhea and the many things he could do to her.
The words from a member of the court went in through one ear and out the other.
Elijah wondered if he could get Rhea to spend two days with him. She would be in his chambers, going nowhere, like she often did the next morning.

His focus returned to the council, and as it was, they were planning how to carry out the new order he had passed regarding the safety of the pack.
"We asked if it would be possible to have the strongest of the warriors come with us."
His eyes met his beta, Zach Generld, briefly, and he nodded.
