Cole's Redemption

The light faded and I was standing by a stream. My arms were moving and the water from the stream was floating in the air. I tried to stop my arms and look around but I had no control of my body. 

As my hands moved the water began to move in the air and I just stared in wonder. How was I doing this? 

"Emma." A male voice shouted and I quickly turned around. The man with the glowing hands was coming towards me. 

"Grandpa." I said and began to run towards him. I heard a splash behind me knowing the water dropped back into the stream. As I got closer to the glowing hand man aka grandpa he opened his arms and I ran into them. "How I have missed you grandfather." 

"I have missed you to my dear one. I see that you are getting better at your water talent." He said as he let go of me and looked at me. 

"I have been practicing and dad has been showing me new things when he is not busy." The man nodded his head and then grabbed my arm. We began to walk towards a house. 

"Well I have someone I would like for you to meet." 

"Oh grandfather please do not tell me your trying to get me married off like father is?" 

He chuckled and looked at me. "My sweet girl no one is good enough for my little princess but I did find him injured near the entrance of our realm." 

"Oh is he ok?"

"He will be. The doctor patched him up and said he needed rest and we are waiting for him to wake up. I want you to help him and to see who he is." 

"Of course grandfather." 

We walked past several houses and people walking in the street. Those who we passed by bowed to us and I was curious as to why. After about ten minutes of walking we arrived outside of a small cottage. It looked different then the other buildings we passed. 

The man who I referred to as my grandfather opened the door to the cottage and walked in. I walked in behind him and realized this building was a medical hospital. "Doctor Levi." My grandfather shouted and a man walked out of room and towards us. 

"Your majesty and Princess Royal how may I help you?" The doctor said as he bowed. 

"How is the man I brought in?" 

Wait I am a princess what the hell. I thought. 

"He is awake." I heard the doctor say and next thing I knew we were walking towards a room. The doctor opened the door and my grandfather and I walked in then the doctor. I approach the bed but I felt my heart pounding. It was him the man the moon goddess Elatha showed me. What in the world is going on? 

"Hello I am Princess Royal Emma. Who might you be?" I asked the man as I stood beside his bed. 

He looked at me with no expression on his face and said "Cole." 

All of a sudden my vision began to blur and I felt myself floating. It was like a movie was playing in my head. Images of my family, the village I lived in, the time I spent with Cole to the moment I fell in love with him. As my life played in my head finally it all stopped and I woke up to screaming outside my room.  I heard so much screaming and could see the flickering of light outside my room window. I removed the blanket from on top of me and  got out of the bed. The floor was stone cold but I did not care. I walked to my window and saw buildings on fire and people running around. Some were screaming, some fighting and others laying on the ground dead. Blood was everywhere. 

A women ran past my window with a creature dressed as a solider following her. It was tall and red with scales all over its body and it had a long tail and horns. It grabbed the women and tore her in half. I watched as it threw the women's body and roared in victory.  Cole stood beside the monster with a royal guard in his hand and snapped here neck. I gasped and Cole's blue eyes looked at my window. I quickly moved from the window and ran straight under my bed. I was afraid the monster would hear me or Cole would kill me and soon my fears became reality. 

I heard the door bust down and then running of people past my room. There was screaming and things being thrown and all of a sudden it stopped. I held my breath as I heard heavy foot steps nearing my room but then a ear piercing roar filled the air. The foot steps were fading away and then I heard nothing. No screaming, no running and no fighting and I began to lightly cry.  

I woke up and noticed it was day light. I listened and I could not hear anything. I was still to afraid to move. What if the monsters were still out there or even Cole. How could he kill those who helped him? He said he loved me but then he killed my people. 

I was to scared to move. So I just laid there. My stomach growled and I had to pee but the thought of that women being torn in half was enough to keep me under my bed. I felt safe. My room went from bright to pitch black and I fell back to sleep. I dreamnt of Cole's blue eyed gaze as he dropped the soldiers body and I woke up screaming.  I went to sit up and felt my head hit the bed. I slowly got out from under the bed and quickly went to the chamber pot and peed. I knew I needed to see what happened but my bladder was about to burst so I peed. 

I walked up to my wooden door and slowly opened it. I saw blood splatters on the wall and I stepped back. Whose blood is that? 

My heart was racing and I could feel the quick breaths I was taking. I shut my eyes, to a big breath of air and began count. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one and I let out the breath I was holding. "I can do this." I whispered and walked out of the room. 

I slowly walked down the hall way and the closer I got to the front room the more blood I saw. I felt my body began to shake with fear. I walked into the room and there laid two bodies and I felt tears pool in my eyes. I walked closer and I knew they were dead. I dropped onto my knees and began to scream. He killed them. My mom and dad are dead because of Cole and those monsters. 

I laid down between my parents bodies and just cried and soon I fell asleep. I woke up to someone lifting me up and I began to scream and fight but then I heard him "Emma calm yourself." It was my grandfather and I snuggled into him. 

"Grandfather they are gone." I said as I began to cry. 

"I know honey." He said as lifted us both up onto a horse and we rode away from my home, my village and went to the portal. "We need to get to through to the portal." 

I nodded at him and got off the horse and walked over to the stoned mirror portal. My grandfather activated it and we stepped through. We were outside of a beautiful castle and I looked at my grandfather. "How many survived?" 

He closed his eyes. "Just the men who were with me. A total of fifteen men and then us two." I felt the tears in my eyes flow down my face. "we need to get in. My friend will be able to help us." He said and all of us walked towards the castle. 

We were greeted by a beautiful women and she welcomed us into her home. My grandfather and her took off and I was left in a room with those who remained. Some of the men talked while others just sat there. After what seemed like ages my grandfather walked into the room. "Emma come with me." I stood up and walked out of the room with him. 

We walked into a another room and the women from earlier was there siting at a desk. "Cassandra this is my granddaughter Emma." 

"Hello Emma my name is Cassandra." She said as she walked over to me her hands and my grandfathers hands were both glowing. 

"What is going on." I said as i backed into the door and they walked closer to me. "Emma Cassandra is a very powerful witch. I need to keep you safe and when the time is right you will be awakened." He said and they both touched me. 

I saw the bright light and then my eyes opened. I was in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors and nurses.
