"Hello?" Ethan’s voice came through the line. "Hey, Ethan," Vanessa said in a sweet, sing-song voice. "I was thinking we could go shopping tomorrow. There’s this boutique I’ve been dying to check out. What do you think?" Ethan hesitated for a moment before replying, "Sure, Vanessa. I can take you." Vanessa smirked triumphantly, glancing over at Lydia, who looked very surprised. "Great! I’ll send you the details," Vanessa said, her tone smug. "Thanks, Ethan. You’re the best." "Yeah, no problem," Ethan replied, sounding distracted. "Talk later." Vanessa hung up the phone, practically beaming. "See? He’ll do ANYTHING I ask." Lydia shook her head, still surprised. "I didn’t think he’d actually agree to go shopping with you. I mean, Ethan doesn’t exactly strike me as the shopping type."
