"Mr. Bates, can you take me to the L. N. Group?" Edie asked.
"Certainly, Mrs. Yates," he replied.
As Edie sat in the car, she nervously fidgeted and her imagination was getting the better of her. 'What will Stuart say to his mother? Will he be upset with Mr. Bates for not calling him?'
Edie pressed the button and waited. The sound of steps sounded from behind, she heard them distinctly. "Edie, wait a minute...." The vile and malicious voice sounded. Edie looked back and saw Hicks running toward her. Hicks said with a smile on her face panting, breathing hard, completely out of breath. "Are you here to see Stuart? I am too! Let's go up and surprise him together."
