Anna was unwilling to give up, she felt there was another reason behind Stuart's marriage. Stuart succinctly replied, "We got married in secret."
"You didn't tell anyone that you got married? Is there a reason why?"
Anna thought they married because of the strict demands of Mrs. Yates and the dispute over the rights of the Yates family and she had hope again. She wondered if maybe this was just like the movies and Stuart was only trying to use Eddie, otherwise, why was Stuart not willing to make it public?
