After that night, Stuart finally let Edie go to work. She was so excited to see Danny, “Danny, I have missed you so much!”
Danny didn’t buy it and sneered, “I thought you said you were going to get a divorce?”
Edie smirked, “Really? How come I don’t remember saying that?”
“You finally found someone who treats you right and you should be thrilled. Stuart is not only handsome but also has money and power! Don't ever let anything like this happen again or I will wring your little neck!"
“Sorry, it was all my fault,” Edie said and her face relaxed into a happy smile.
The two of them chatted for a while then Danny said mysteriously, “Something big happened over the past few days. With everything that's been going on, I haven’t had a chance to talk to you about it.”
