Chapter 6 I lingered in the parlor as Cynthia once more wrestled the heavy door open. "Ah, Miss Sophie DuBois," Cynthia said. "So this is the right place," Sophie said. She sounded almost disappointed. What had she been expecting? Certainly not something bigger. "Can you hold the door open? I'll have the driver bring in my bags." Bags? Was she expecting to stay longer than Brianna and I were?
