My eyes slowly came open.
My vision was blurry at first as I tried to understand where I was. My eyes ran over the room as recognition slowly came to me. The moment it did, my heart sank deeper into its ribcage. My eyes slowly began to water. My lips started to tremble.
"No. . .no. . ." I breathed in a low tone.
I was back in his room. I was back in the palace. I was back with the monster!
"No. . .no! This can't be possible. . .this can't be true. . .no!" I refused to believe it.
This had to be a bad dream. This was a nightmare. I had to be dreaming. I could not be back here. I had escaped this place. I was outside. I was finally free. Darius helped me. He even gave me his horse!
