“What if I said I had already paid her a visit? Inside that hole? What would you do?”
I widened my eyes at Darius.
This was unbelievable! He had met her already. He had seen Kayla right under my nose. He had slipped past my defense mechanisms. How did he do it? How did he distract me?
My breathing switched and became heavier. My heart started to race with anger and a strong emotion seized me. It burned my insides and made me hate Darius. I could not think straight anymore. All I wanted was to attack him.
How dare him see Kayla? How dare him go near her?
My wolf burned with fury and fought to seize control so that it would attack Darius. I grinded my teeth hard against themselves. Every other sound faded away and it was only Darius’ words that echoed in my ears.
