Kayla returned to the hall in all her glory.
My heart fluttered and I could not tear my eyes off her. It could have probably been because of the innocent stare in her gray eyes; or because of the stray hairs by her ears. Or maybe it was the way her red dress fit her body perfectly. It as as if the dress was made just for her. Her beauty was dulling my senses and all I wanted was to grab her.
Kayla reached the table and took her seat again. She avoided my gaze and went back to eating her food. I felt a little pain at the fact that she had ignored me and tried to pay attention to the jokes been told at the table.
