I muttered under my breath, feeling both frustrated and conflicted. This situation was spiralling out of control, and I needed to find a way to regain my composure and stand my ground.
"Alex, please, let go," I pleaded, my voice shaky but determined. "You can't force someone into a mate bond. It's not fair to either of us. Let's talk this out like rational adults, and maybe we can find a solution that works for both of us."
