Her words reverberated in my mind like an incessant tolling bell, freezing me in place.
Fear.
No, that word is far too feeble to capture the overwhelming emotions coursing through me right now.
Blow after blow, she unleashed upon me, but I remained silent, her words echoing relentlessly in my head, rendering me speechless and blind, overpowering my senses completely.
"Time to enjoy this piece of s**t, have fun boys," she sneered.
My senses jolted back to life as her words reached my ears, and the assault ceased. I could sense a different presence in the air, a repugnant mixture of alcohol and various masculine colognes wafting around.
