My eyes widen upon hearing his words. "Your mate?"
"Yes, I saw her. When I arrived here and took a run in the forest. I'm certain she's part of this pack. Regardless of what your instincts are telling you, I can't just leave like this," he explains.
The entire revelation is hard for me to digest, which is why he was so elated before, behaving more joyfully than usual.
