“I'm not sure if I'm ready, but let's see how you feel about my surprise,” I giggled in his arms.
Now, the way he's talking, it doesn't seem like he's the same person who was angry at everyone in the meeting.
This Alex is so different from who he was at the council meeting.
“Now we don't have to meet pack members; I already mind-linked my gamma. He'll be informing everyone. We just have to wait until the council comes up with a decision,” Alex spoke as he settled me into the car seat.
After settling in, he started the engine and drove off.
His words are swirling in my head. I don't know how to react to this because, clearly, I'm scared of what might happen if the council's decision goes against us being together.
What will happen then? Will Alex leave me?
