Shock was an understatement for what I felt in that moment. How could he ask me to strip while not offering any information about himself? It suddenly dawned on me that he had warned me against lying, and when he asked if I was ready to play the game, I merely replied, "Yes," even though it was far from the truth.
But what did he expect me to say? If I denied it, who knows what he might do?
So, I tried to play along, hoping he would dismiss the idea as foolish.
"Are you deaf, Little Mouse?" Alex questioned, abruptly pulling me out of my daydream.
At that very moment, I wished I could lose my hearing or disappear in an instant.
"I... Said... Strip," he reiterated, placing an excessive emphasis on the last word, as though speaking to an ignorant child.
