VENUS'S POV My eyes fluttered open slowly as I heard someone talking in the room. The voice was faint and the person had his back to me, with a phone placed close to his ear. I could see he was trying to talk quietly so he wouldn't end up waking me up. I felt woozy as I took in the room, realizing I was still in the hospital. After the doctor had given me strict instructions to stay in bed, I had been pumped with pain killers—which included a sedative—and I had fallen asleep. Returning my attention to the man in the room, I noticed it was one of my mates. I couldn't tell which was it was because I couldn't see his face but with the gestures he was doing with his hands, I suspected it had to be Gordon.
