Never let her go

Third Person's POV Gordon stirred first, stretching his arms and working out the kinks in his neck as he tried to remember where he was. As if practically attached to each other, Gareth woke up, rubbing his eyes and letting out a satisfied yawn. They smiled at each other, winking as they recalled the events of last night and how good it had been to be with their mate, to feel their mate in their arms, to caress their mate and explore every part of her body. They also had the privilege of knowing how it felt to be inside their mate and how she had moaned in sheer pleasure as they too had. Their bodies tingled in excitement as the memory assailed them. The vivid erotic images their memory painted stirred a pot of desire in them that had them looking forward to a repeat before they’d make their next move. It was sure to be exciting since they had now found their mate and they planned to never let her out of their sight and to protect her with all they had. With the broad smiles still on their faces, they turned to gaze at their mate and to their surprise, they found the space between them empty. A surprised frown marred their faces as they regarded the now empty bed. "Where is she?" Garett asked no one in particular. "How am I supposed to know?" Gordon questioned incredulously. "You woke up a split second after me." They ignored each other and sniffed trying to pick her scent which now hung only faintly in the room. They dressed quickly hoping to at least be able to pick up her scent outside. The fear of losing their mate after searching so long had their wolves nearly going in a panic. How was a fragile looking woman like Venus lying between two strong men able to get off their grip? Garett wondered. He silently blamed himself for sleeping so much but still found it odd that they’d slept so much when they battled insomnia most nights. “It disappears form here.” Gordon frowned looking into the street from the bus stop bench, a short distance from the hotel. Garett nodded frowning. What the bloody hell were they going to do now? They had been on a tight deadline to find their mates so they could finally assume their duties as Alpha and now that they shared a mate, it made things much easier considering they’d never wanted to leave the responsibilities of the position to just one person. Two heads were better than one after all. Besides, it made a lot of sense too, since they’d done everything together right from birth. And now the Moon Goddess had favored them immensely, bestowing upon them a miracle, in the form of the two of them having one mate. Some women passing by giggled into their hands shyly as they noticed the two handsome men ruffled sexily. Gordon, the only one to ever bask in female attention, glared at them earning a raised brow from his twin. Despite all their similarities, the twins had distinct differences that weren’t hard to notice. Garett, for all his masculine appeal and wealth, was deathly awkward around women for reasons that were yet to be understood. Not that it had ever affected his prowess in bed. He never went up to a woman first or bothered to have a conversation with one. Thankfully, they were all more than willing to drop their skirts once they got him on bed, and besides him f*****g them, bending them over and paying them off, he never bothered to try to communicate with them again. Gordon, on the other hand, was a ladies man through and through and he bore the title with pride. He adored women and spent his time and money on them and he was never shy to flirt with a lady that caught his fancy. He was what some would call a playboy. In fact, the main reason the twin brothers had come to the hotel was because of an engagement party. Cherry, a lady he had gone out with a few times before, had invited him to her friend's engagement party which was taking place in a suite in the hotel and Gordon had decided to go along with his twin brother, Garett because they went almost everywhere together. And because of the engagement party Gordon had been invited to, luckily for them they had found their mate. They hadn't even bothered to attend the engagement party again since they had found their mate and that was the most important thing in their minds. The thought of Cherry was the last thing in Gordon's mind now. The only thing in his minds now was how to find his mate. “f**k!” Gordon yelled kicking and denting the bench. Garett glared at him. “There’s no need to wreck public property, Gor.” Gareth scolded. “Our taxes pay for more than half of the f*****g public property, so I can wreck it if I choose to.” Gordon spat. “Do you still have that PI’s number?” Garett asked folding his arms and leaning against a street lamp. “Fresno? Yeah I do. Why?” Garett shrugged. “He’s good at finding people. Let him help us find Venus.” “I’ll call him now.” Garett nodded, waiting patiently while his brother more or less ordered the PI who owed them his life, to find her. “What did he say?” He asked once Gordon ended the call. “He’ll have information for us within the hour.” “Good.” He nodded pushing off the lamp and crooking his finger to beckon his brother. “We better get cleaned up if we want her to consider our proposal. In as much as I like the scent of her on me, I’d rather not smell like stale s*x when we meet her again.” Gordon nodded still gritting his teeth. Garett knew his brother was taking it harder since he and Venus had dated briefly in high school and she’d been the only girl till date who’d broken up with him. He scoffed to himself. Glad to see some things never changed. They stepped into their luxury shared apartment and went into their private bathrooms anticipating their reunion with their runaway mate. Once they found her now, they’d never let her go again.
