MILA'S POV The house suddenly seemed too large as I walked down the stairs, headed for the kitchen. It was also eerily quiet and gloomy. Every step I took, echoed throughout the entire room and I wanted to be anywhere but in my own home. Ever since the altercation with Randy, I had locked myself in my room and refused to eat. I couldn't bring myself to stomach anything with all that was going on. But it appeared that I had forgotten I wasn't the only one who needed food in my body. The bowl of fruits I usually kept next to my bed was what had sustained me through the night but now that it was morning, I knew I had to eat.
